Blackberry Crumble

Enjoy this delicious recipe accompanied by a cup of coffee for the cold weather 🫐☕

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup blueberries
  • ¾ cup blackberries
  • ¾ cup strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup traditional oatmeal
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cubed (125 gr)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • PROCEDURE
    Heat the oven to 180ºC. Butter a square mold of 20cm approx.
  • In a bowl, mix berries, sugar and cornstarch; set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, sugar and baking powder. Add the egg, vanilla essence and butter; with your fingers form a sandy dough (crumbs).
  • Put 2/3 of the prepared dough in the mold, then spread the berry mixture and cover with the rest of the dough. Sprinkle the topping with the ground cinnamon.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Let cool before cutting into 9 portions. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
  •  Add the egg, vanilla essence and butter; form a sandy dough (crumbs) with your fingers.
